College admissions: What You Need to Know

Everyone worries about college admissions and everyone has their own thoughts and ideas on how best to do this. Many students believe that the SATS results are the most important. However, the admission factors most often taken into account appear to be your high school record.

This is considered to influence about 35% to 50% of their decision, but also includes what courses you took and how well you did in those courses.

They look to see if you improved academically during high school or if you let your grades slide a little during your senior year. And yes, they do look at the courses you took, whether or not they were challenging to you and how well you handled them.
